How Cuelaris works

Cuelaris is a small Windows companion that listens to a conversation you are in and helps you respond while it is still happening.

1

Install Cuelaris

Download the Windows companion and run the installer. It installs for your user account, so it does not need administrator rights. Cuelaris runs as a floating panel beside your call — it is not a browser extension, and it never joins your meeting as a participant.

2

Choose your purpose

Interview, sales call, technical meeting, or a custom purpose you describe yourself. The purpose changes what Cuelaris listens for and how it answers — an interview answer is structured differently from a response to a pricing objection.

You can add context too: a résumé, a job description, product notes. That context is used to shape answers during the session.

3

Start listening

Cuelaris captures two separate audio channels: the system audio (what your computer is playing — the other party) and, optionally, your microphone.

These are never mixed. Only the other party’s speech can trigger an answer; your own voice is used for context so Cuelaris knows what you have already said. That is why it works with headphones, and why it never needs a screen-share picker.

While a session runs, Windows shows its normal microphone and audio indicators. Cuelaris does not hide that it is running. Recording and consent rules vary by country, employer and platform, and following the ones that apply to your conversation is your responsibility.

4

Get help in real time

When the other person asks something, Cuelaris detects it, waits for them to finish the thought, and streams back a suggested answer with points worth mentioning and the follow-up most likely to come next. You can ask for a shorter version, more depth, or a fresh take with a keyboard shortcut.

What Cuelaris is not

  • · Not a meeting bot — it never joins or appears in your call.
  • · Not a recorder — audio is transcribed in flight and not stored by us.
  • · Not a note-taking product — the value is during the conversation, not the summary after it.
  • · Not undetectable — see the privacy page for what that setting does and does not do.
